Niels Prins, MD, PhD is the director of Progress Clinical Research. He and his colleagues are committed to conducting research for promising new treatments in various therapeutic areas because he knows that clinical drug research can make a difference.
Ad Hoeks is responsible for the overall operations of Progress Clinical Research.
Samantha Prins is Director Business Development and Start-Up, supporting the acquisition, contracting and set-up of clinical trials. She is the first point of contact for potential clients wanting to work with Progress Clinical Research.
With an academic background in biopharmaceutical sciences, Laura Bruins, MSc, as a Clinical Trial Start-Up Specialist, is responsible for contracting and initiating trials at all Progress Clinical Research sites. She also facilitates the submission process to the METC and the competent authority, CCMO, from Progress Clinical Research’s perspective by providing essential submission documents. Along with other Start-Up & BD colleagues, she serves as the point of contact for potential partners looking to collaborate with Progress Clinical Research, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
With a background in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and extensive experience in immunology, dermatology, and Clinical Trial Application submissions, Peter Jongste is responsible for contracting and initiating trials across all sites of Progress Clinical Research and Brain Research Center. In this capacity, he also oversees the submission process to the METC and the competent authority, ensuring that all essential documentation is provided from the perspective of Progress Clinical Research and Brain Research Center.
As a key member of the Start-Up & Business Development team, Peter plays a pivotal role in launching clinical trials and serves as a primary point of contact for external parties interested in collaborating with Progress Clinical Research. His involvement also extends to trials utilizing the Amsterdam Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (A-IADL) scale, where he supports the integration of this validated cognitive assessment tool into study protocols, contributing to innovation and data quality in neurodegenerative research.

Ester Verkerk is HR Manager at Progress Clinical Research. She is responsible for human resources management of the three sites.
As the Quality Manager and Data Protection Officer, Joep Schepens oversees quality control and regulatory compliance within clinical trials. Serving as the primary contact for quality-related inquiries, Joep ensures that all processes adhere to the highest standards and regulations.
Amsterdam site
Frank Schulz is the Site Manager at Progress Clinical Research Amsterdam. He is responsible for the daily management of the Amsterdam site.

Paul Dautzenberg, MD, PhD is medical director of Progress Clinical Research Den Bosch. He is in charge of the clinical team and all medical aspects of the studies.
